Flight time! AKA How to get from one side of Australia to the other
The day began with a ride to the airport, followed by an easy hour-long flight to Melbourne.
After a rushed stop-over in Melbourne I caught the next flight
to Perth. Four hours and a new timezone later, I found myself with a two hour wait before the six hour
bus ride back to Albany. Highlight of the day, aside from
seeing my family again, was definitely getting the high-score
for the easy level of Minesweeper on the Qantas in-flight entertainment system.
Let the record show this as the day 'poo' staked their claim to the easy level of minesweeper,
leagues ahead of the competition with a formidable time of 1:22. And yes, all the other seats on the plane show
the same.
Sadly the longer flight's entertainment system didn't have minesweeper, so I was unable to claim the medium or hard
leaderboards. Instead, I watched Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, which was a very decent film.
I rate it 4/5, but it could probably make 5/5 if I weren't watching it on a small plane screen with less-than-desirable
audio quality.
Waiting for the bus..
My wait in the East Perth bus terminal was not the most enjoyable time, but I got some more HTML figured out.
My feelings toward this part of the journey were not lifted by a pretty gross "Cold Brew
Iced Coffee" that was really, really bitter despite its claim of containing "notes of caramel".
Bus time!
The first part hour of the bus ride passed quickly, having an episode of the
SadBoyz podcast to entertain me. The rest of the trip was
saved by Spiderman: Homecoming and a really good sausage roll. I've found that there's something inexplicably good about
homemade servo sausage rolls, especially from a small town like Williams.
